Volunteer Spotlight

Mike croppedMike Wilkerson began volunteering at the Montana Food Bank Network in October after hearing about MFBN from a friend.  He comes in for a couple of hours each Monday and Thursday, and he helps with repackaging food, sorting bread and processing the mail.
Mike says that his favorite part of volunteering at the Montana Food Bank Network is knowing that he is doing something for others, especially those in our community.
Mike has lived in Missoula for sixty years.  He brings with him a diverse history.  He has served as a United States Marine and taught anthropology at the University of Montana.  He also ran a business booking fishing trips to locations all over the world.  Even though he has fished in locales the world over, Mike says his favorite places to fish can be found right here in Western Montana!
