2020 FEED MONTANA

Thank you for your interest in FEED MONTANA, Montana Food Bank Network’s month-long fundraising event aimed at ending hunger in Montana. Join us September, 2020 in our fight against hunger!

What is FEED MONTANA?

FEED MONTANA is a creative competition between Montana businesses to raise funds for Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN). This month-long campaign challenges companies to create fundraising and teambuilding activities to end hunger in Montana.  With your help and support, we know we can meet and exceed our goal of raising $75,000 during FEED MONTANA this September.

There are many different ways to get involved during FEED MONTANA! Create an individual fundraising team with your friends, co-workers, classmates, or anyone else who wants to get involved.  Host a cause-marketing event like a pint night with a local business where a portion of proceeds supports FEED MONTANA.  Make your next game night a friendly competition and fundraiser.  Need more ideas? Contact us, we’d love to brainstorm with you.

Every dollar raised during FEED MONTANA helps to provide three meals to those in need. Montana Food Bank Network helps provide nutrient-dense food to more than 150,000 families, children, older adults, and others experiencing food insecurity. Meeting our $75,000 will provide the equivalent of 225,000 meals for Montanans in need across the state.

If your business or group wants to get involved in FEED MONTANA to help up reach our goal, visit feedmt.org to sign up a team today.

A little more about Montana Food Bank Network & hunger in Montana:

MFBN has been feeding Montana since 1983. We are Montana’s only statewide food bank. We work with the national hunger-fighting organization, Feeding America, and have developed several programs specifically to address the unique challenges of accessing food in Montana. We distribute food from Heron to Wibaux, Eureka to West Yellowstone, and everywhere in between. We partner with neighborhood food banks, community pantries, social organizations, homeless shelters, schools, and hundreds of other organizations that are all working together to end hunger in Montana. We believe that together we can end hunger in Montana.

Before COVID-19, 1 in 9 Montanans was experiencing food insecurity in Montana, including 1 in 6 children. After COVID-19, MFBN’s network partners have reported nearly 10,000 more visits to emergency food assistance in April 2020 than in April 2019. The most significant increase in visits has been in Montana’s seven largest counties, with demand increasing from 30% – 60%.

With a $1 donation, you will help provide enough food for at least three meals. This is made possible through partnerships with local and national food manufacturers, agriculturists, and other food manufacturers. Through these partnerships, MFBN can secure large amounts of food through generous donations, grants, or wholesale. Food is then distributed to network partners across the state that serve those experiencing food insecurity.
