We can’t do it alone.
Montana Food Bank Network (MFBN) is looking for volunteer warehouse workers! MFBN’s busiest time of the year is here and we need your help as we begin preparing for the holiday season and working hard to support Montanans experiencing hunger.
Volunteer warehouse workers will work closely with our Operations Manager and Supervisor to fulfill and stage food orders for delivery to our network of partners located all across the state.
Prior warehouse and pallet jack experience is preferred, but not required. MFBN will provide the required OSHA warehouse safety, pallet jack, and safe lifting training. Volunteer warehouse workers must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Volunteer shifts run Mon-Fri from 9 am-3 pm, with a minimum of 3 hours per shift required.
We need your help. Will you join us? Contact MFBN’s Volunteer Coordinator, Amy Doughten, at (406) 541-4885 or [email protected] to apply.
Volunteers play a vital role in Montana Food Bank Network’s mission to eliminate hunger in Montana!
Food repacks or sorting: This year-round project takes foods that arrive to us in bulk-sized bins and then repacks them into smaller family-sized portions that are more shelf-friendly for our network partners. This easy project is suitable for most ages and group sizes of six or fewer.
Mail-a-Meal builds: Our Mail-a-Meal boxes are distributed monthly via a 50-pound box that is packed with exact placements and foods like a jigsaw puzzle. This project needs great attention to detail and requires heavier lifting, and walking.
If you would like to work on a specific project, please contact Amy Doughten, Volunteer Coordinator.
