Program Overview

The mission of our Mail-a-Meal Program is to reach Montanans experiencing food insecurity in rural, remote, and low-population areas with limited access to grocery stores and food assistance. Mail-A-Meal boxes are delivered to drop sites across Montana and shipped directly to rural households that are not located near a drop site.

Mail-a-Meal Drop Sites

We operate 14 Mail-a-Meal drop sites in collaboration with community partners. We ship a pallet of food boxes to each location, where a community partner distributes the boxes to participating community members. To find Mail-a-Meal drop site locations, click here: MAM Drop Sites.

Who is eligible?

The Mail-a-Meal program is specifically designed to serve seniors, and the food boxes include low-sugar, low-sodium, and whole-grain options to ensure nutritional needs are met. Non-senior households who live in communities without access to emergency food assistance are also eligible to receive Mail-a-Meal food boxes.

To request to receive Mail-a-Meal boxes, click below to fill out the online Mail-a-Meal Box Request Form or to download a printable PDF version, which can be filled out and mailed to 5780 Alloy North, Missoula MT 59808.
