We are here to serve our neighbors that have nowhere else to turn
The Montana Food Bank Network believes that every person has the basic human right to have access to emergency food assistance. The Mail-a-Meal Program’s mission is to reach food insecure Montanans in rural, remote, low population areas without access to emergency food assistance or nutritious, quality food. We operate several drop-sites and also ship boxes direct to rural households.
- Eligible Counties:
Big Horn, Blaine, Broadwater, Chouteau, Daniels, Fallon, Garfield, Golden Valley, Judith Basin, Liberty, Madison, McCone, Petroleum, Pondera, Powder River, Powell, Prairie, Richland, Rosebud, Roosevelt, Sheridan, Teton, Toole, Treasure, Valley, and Wheatland
MFBN operates 6 Mail-a-Meal drop-sites, shipping a pallet of food boxes to a centralized location where a community partner handles the distribution of the boxes. Three Mail-a-Meal drop-sites are designed specifically to serve seniors and include a box of food designed to meet their specific nutritional needs, including low-sugar, low-sodium, and whole grain options.
For information on Mail-a-Meal Drop sites contact Laura Pugh, Programs VISTA
Through generous partnership qualifying households receive a fifty pound box of shelf stable food shipped directly to their home.
You may qualify for a box if you live in an eligible county (listed above) and do not have access to a Network Partner Agency (click to see if a Network Partner Agency is located near you). To apply for the program, carefully read and fill out the intake form below. If you qualify for the program, you will receive a box in 7-10 days.
