Caras Park lights up ORANGE for the month of September to help MFBN bring awareness to Hunger Action Month.

September isn’t only MFBN’s biggest fundraiser of the year, FEED MONTANA, it’s also national Hunger Action Month. During this month-long campaign, MFBN will be raising awareness and inspiring action across the state of Montana. Every action counts!

Montana Food Bank Network’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Gayle Carlson noted, “Over 130,000 Montanans do not have reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.  This is a year-round issue. But September is a time of year that we really bring this issue to light and encourage everyone to be a part of the solution by donating, volunteering and advocating for our neighbors facing hunger.”

The Downtown Missoula Partnership is partnering with Montana Food Bank Network to take action in a new and unique way this September, by turning the Caras Park pavilion lights to ORANGE for the month of September. Orange represents the color for Hunger Action Month and helps Montana Food Bank Network raise awareness on hunger and food insecurity in our local community.
