Through MFBN’s Retail Food Rescue Program (formerly Grocery Rescue), our network partners rescue non-sellable products which are still safe for consumption providing more options to food pantry visitors.

In 2024, our Network Partners rescued 9,262,915 pounds of food! Â Â
Montana Food Bank Network trains Retail Food Rescue partners with food safety education and continues to monitor partners to ensure all rescued food is kept safe for consumption.
PRODUCTS ACCEPTED:
- Produce, meat, beverages, bakery, dairy, dry food, deli, and prepared foods and non-food items such as hygiene products, pet food, etc.
- We cannot accept recalled products, spoiled food, products without ingredient lists, or perishables returned by a customer.

Albertsons, Safeway, Costco, Walmart, Target, WinCo, Smith’s, Sam’s Club, Loaf ‘N Jug, US Foods Chef’Store, Food Service of America, United Natural Foods, SYSCO, Big Lots, and Panera Bread.
